Let me just start by saying, San Diego is not considered a mecca of mountain biking. When you think of the world’s top spots —Moab, Whistler, Santa Cruz —it really doesn’t even come to mind. San Diego also has many options for activities outside of riding, including an interesting old-town area and miles of open beaches.
