The Au variant of the Argos utilizes a purposeful titanium tube selection to reduce weight while still maintaining the structural integrity and ride characteristics that we designed our trail-focused hardtail around. The seatstay and chainstay shapes give climbing and pedaling efficiency, while also maining comfort when it is needed. A reinforced down-tube/headtube junction ensures that the Argos Au can take the same punishment when descending as its slightly heavier brother.
Inspired by the Argos section of the Apex trail system in Golden, CO, the Argos titanium hardtail is the newest addition to the Alchemy mountain bike line-up. The Argos is handmade in Alchemy’s workshop and is built to tackle the strenuous climbs throughout the Colorado Rockies while maintaining strength, resilience and impact-resistance. It is a true trail-attacking hardtail with an updated progressive geometry. Using Alchemy’s custom USA blended titanium, the tubing, bends and welds are all designed for quality ride-feel and performance. With the option to finish with the ultra-durable Cerakote vs. liquid paint your paint job will last much longer and hold up to whatever you put this bike through.
The Argos Hardtail is handmade in our Colorado workshop with American Titanium. Alchemy brings decades of experience resulting in the most precise and durable welds, miters and shaping. Alchemy Titanium is distinguished by tapered, integrated head tube and S-bend seat stays. The Argos features clean bends that result in a responsive ride that is unmatched on by other frame builders. Alchemy's Ti Blend coupled with our experience in frame building make the Argos a true trail hardtail that will last a lifetime.
The rear triangle on the Argos was unique design to incorporate the brake caliper within the rear triangle offering more responsive braking and a stylish aesthetic. In addition, the S-curves on the stays provide snappiness, comfort, and an exceptional ride feel built for the trail. This design also allows mounts for numerous bikepacking bags and packs.
